Christmas Adventures!

WOW. This Christmas truly has been an adventure. We drove to Colorado on Tuesday night, to spend Christmas with my dad, and to move our warehouse for Nutty Guys. We were pulling a U-Haul trailer to bring my dad a kitchen table (complete with 6 chairs and 4 barstools) that he bought in Utah over Thanksgiving. We made it through most of Wyoming with good weather, until after Lairamie, and it continued through Colorado. We were just outside of Denver, around 2am. yes AM. The weather was horrible, snow packed roads, 10 degrees, we were going about 45 mph, when a deisell decided to slam on its brakes, and Kip hit the brakes, and we slid, and jack-kinifed our trailer, headed for the semi. Then Kip shifted gears down to 2nd to slow us down quicker, then we slid off the road and hit the side of our car into a mile-marker, and it stopped us from slidding any further. Our prayer was answered and we were safe.

But, we were on the side of the road Stuck. We tried shoving pieces of cardboard under the two tires that were spinning, but to no avail. 20 minutes of trying. no one stopped to help us. We then decided we needed help from the Lord, we said a prayer expressing our grattitude for our safety, and asking for help. Instantly (1-2 minutes) after our prayer 2 people stopped, one being a tow truck with a wench. Within 10 minutes, we were on the road again. Prayer answered, again. Did I mention that there is No. damage. to our car? And we did slam into the mile marker and bent it to the ground.

We should have taken pictures, but at the time pictures were not on our mind.

Christmas was so fun. I think having kids makes Christmas SO much better. All month long Gracie has been asking for a pony, and when Santa asks her what kind, she says. A BIG one. Well she got her pony on Christmas morning and I have never seen her so excited! :0) Here is a movie of it... kinda long.

Day after Christmas, we were driving to the mall to exchange some things, and coming down a HUGE hill and suddenly 6 deer decided to cross the road. Kip (awesome driver) slammed on the brakes and didn't hit them. The Lord was deffinitely watching over our little family. I am so grateful for that protection.

Now. We are home. Safe and Sound. And I really don't want to get back into the car again. ever.
